I am so excited that it’s senior portrait season again! I always have the best time and Anna’s session was no exception. I photographed her older sister Taylor a few years (and had a fantastic time) so I was super excited for Anna’s session. The whole family is so much fun to work with, I spent most of the session laughing…I love it when a photography session is like that!

I tried out a new location for the first part of her session and am so glad that I did. The sun coming through the trees made the most amazing backdrop! Oh and I should add, those are really the color of Anna’s eyes…absolutely incredible! 🙂 We then moved on to Pleasant Grove where Anna has spent time playing soccer over the years. I loved being able to capture her in action!

Thanks for a great afternoon guys. I love the fact that you chose me to photograph both of your beautiful daughters. Enjoy the rest of your senior year Anna and good luck at Virginia Tech!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Jay a senior from Fluvanna County High School. He wanted an urban portrait session so we spent the afternoon in downtown Charlottesville for his senior portraits. We visited some of my favorite locations and even found a few new ones. That’s one of the things I love about urban session…things are always changing so no two session are ever the same!

Jay’s mother wanted a photo of him in his cap and gown. I thought the top of the parking garage was a perfect setting and I love the way it turned out! So much more interesting that the traditional studio portrait that everyone else has.

I had a great time during the session and really enjoyed spending the afternoon with Jay, his mother and his sister…she is such a cutie! Good luck with your future Jay!
