One of the things I love most about senior portrait photography is how personalized each session can be. I’ve photographed football players before but I knew Macen’s session was going to be completely fantastic! He’s the wide receiver for Fluvanna County High School, has been playing football since he was 8 years old and is an amazing athlete!
The day of Macen’s senior photography session was really cold and insanely windy…I kid you not there were a few 20 mph gusts! Thanks goodness I had Macen’s mom and my assistant to help hold my lights down! After taking a few quick shots at Pleasant Grove, we then moved on the high school for the main event! You could tell that football is Macen’s passion. As long as he had the football in his hand, he was happy and was pretty much willing to try anything.
The action shots I took of him are some of all time favorites! When I asked him to leap across the ground and catch the ball, he didn’t hesitate! I’m sure it must have hurt (I would have started crying, for sure!) but it didn’t even phase him! I also have to mention that I LOVED his Captain America football cleats! If I could find them as regular shoes, I’d totally buy them! 🙂
