Happy New Year! Continuing on with my goal of updating my blog, today we have Tayler, a beautiful senior from Louisa County High School’s Class of 2020 Senior Portraits Charlottesville Virginia!
A few years ago, I took Tayler’s brother Alex’s senior portraits. I had a great time with Alex and his mom Serena, so I was excited for the chance to work with them again!
Tayler is such a sweetheart and was an absolute joy to photograph. She was up for anything and we spent most of the session laughing! How perfectly did my read hat match her super cute romper?
I encourage seniors to incorporate their hobbies into their sessions. Whether it’s a current interest or an old one, it really helps to tell the story of your life up until now!
Tayler was a former ballet dancer and pageant queen in her toddler days, (she holds 8 crowns!) and has played softball for the last 6 years. They brought an old pageant sash, little ballet slippers and the softball she had her first home run with!

Man oh man, those are some seriously amazing blue eyes!!
You can probably tell from the previous photos, that Tayler is a super smiley girl. While I want every session to represent the senior’s personality, I always try to get a few serious expressions. Especially when it comes to sports photos.
Tayler totally nailed her serious expression…for about two seconds! That’s as long as she could keep her beautiful smile under wraps! 🙂
Tayler and Chassy have been friends since birth and their mothers were friends in high school! Look at this crazy cute photo I found on Facebook…those little faces!
Though they played ball together when they were little, Chassy moved onto cheer, and Tayler stayed with softball. This should be an advertisement for Louis Athletics! 🙂

We ended the session with photos of Tayler and her awesome jeep. I have to admit, I’ve driven a mini-van for the past 22 years and am totally jealous! I also love the outfit she chose. You can’t go wrong with a pair of Dr. Martens plus she’s wearing her Dad’s dog tags from when he was in the Navy! How cool is that?!
Thank you Tayler, Serena, Chassy and Samantha! I had a wonderful afternoon with you guys…the four of you absolutely made my afternoon!!
